For uniforms and button-down shirts, allow enough chest room so the shirt does not pull when sitting or reaching.

How to measure before choosing a size

Measure height with the child standing straight against a wall and shoes off.
Use weight as a secondary check because children with the same age can have very different builds.
For tops and jackets, check chest and sleeve; for bottoms, check waist, hips and inseam.
If a child is between sizes, size up for growth room unless the garment is safety-sensitive or must fit closely.

FAQ

Should I size up kids jackets?

Often yes if layering or growth room is needed, but sleeves and shoulders should still be manageable.

How do I measure chest for a kids jacket?

Measure around the fullest part of the chest with arms relaxed, keeping the tape level.

What if sleeve length is too long?

Adjustable cuffs help. If sleeves cover hands too much, try a shorter size or different brand cut.
